I beleive people have used these




and possibly this

to get more distance between cars for the corners.
The non-truck end of the third car then rests on the second car. This allows both lateral and vertical movement. Of course you could do it the complicated but clever James Mathis way! A search on Brickshelf for monorail brings up plenty of ideas.
