    New box cars —Steven Barile
I built a new set of box cars. Love to get some feedback. steve.bar.home.att.net SteveB PNLTC (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —James Mathis
(...) I really like the color scheme on these models. The detail with the Technic pieces on the trucks is A+ and different. Good. later, James (25 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —Larry Pieniazek
Nice. Very nice. Except for those pesky decals. :-) one nit... the grab irons (on the right side) are too close together. They should be spaced the spacing of a widely spaced ladder rung. (yes, I know that's the spacing of the minifig ladder, but (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —Jeff Christner

On the older reefers, there would be hatches in the roof for ice, those could be easily replicated on a flat roof, but I'm not so sure about a peaked one. On (...)          Re: New box cars —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I think I'd use the 2x2 flag attached to one of those 1x2 plates with side rod and just have it sit on top of the sloped roof. Not very precise but conveys the notion. (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —Steven Barile
The flag "ice block door" is an interesteing detail I hadn't thought about. I'll give it a try. SteveB (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —Christopher Masi
I still like the door open trick. It makes me beleive that the doors really open and close! Keep using those decals. Compare the State of Maine box car and the Union Refrigerated cars; same design, but the State of Maine box car is a LEGO plain (...) (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —Ashley Glennon
Nice box cars, Steve. I like the doors and use of the tiles. It looks like the doors really slide open. Ashley (25 years ago, 8-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New box cars —Paul Sinasohn
Interesting - I'm using Navigator 4.06 and I get a "Your browser is forbidden to access this page" error Is Steve limiting access to IE only?
