May I publish documentatino of the 4548? —Sonnich Jensen
Hi all! I am working on a page about the 4548 controller from the time when we discussed changes to it (to give less power). I just wonder, is there a problem to publish the schematic of it? It would be easier to use that in my page to explain how (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) My guess would be no, but you're asking the wrong people. TLC are the people you should be asking. ROSCO (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Agreed. Ask them! Typically, though, publishing things that you reverse engineer is a lot less likely to cause trouble than releasing information that you obtained from the source. Presumably you've reverse engineered the controller? (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Yes, the idea is to make a page about it and how to lower the output voltage and how to get more power from it. As A part of it I draw a schematic of it, which I'd like to publish to with calcualtions. The schematic is taken directly from the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: May I publish documentatino of the 4548? —Sonnich Jensen
I should add that it is not the exact schematic, the switch for selecting direction will not be in it. The switch for selecting the voltage will be there (but not as TLC has made it, quite funny way). So if I add the text - the schematic can be (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: May I publish documentatino of the 4548? —Steven Barile
I would publish it. The inards of the RCX, both schemeatic and micro-code, where published within weeks of the RCX release. Now there are volumes published about the it with TLG encouragement. BTW the 4548 is a head slapping simple circuit. SteveB (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

I have wrote an email to TLC, not lets wait a moment for them. My page is not ready anyway... BR S Steve Barile <sebarile@sstanamera.com> wrote in message news:GyqHC9.K1H@lugnet.com... (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)
