SET DESCRIPTION

A large locomotive engine.  Mostly red and grey with a yellow stripe
zig-zagging through.  Based on the Sante Fe Super Chief.  Has chrome horns,
radiators, steps, and a removable top.  Very cool-looking.

SPECIAL ELEMENTS

Many.  Four new porthole pieces, which are transparent 2X1X2 panels with
color printing on the outside, a tile that has the special number of your
train, four 3X3 disks, 2 chrome horns, grey train wheels and bumpers, red
train windshield,  2X2X2 slopes with grills, many red arches, and alot of
red and grey 2X3 curved bricks.

IMPRESSION

The Santa Fe Super Chief has to be one of the best, if not THE best, Lego(R)
train set made.  It has a lot of interesting pieces, and looks true to the
real thing.  It has what might be one of Lego's first SNOT areas, and is
also fun to play with.  It has a 'engine' inside, a place for a minifig to
sit, small doors that revealthe inside, train pieces in new colors, and is a
very intersting Lego set.  The individual number tile is interesting, too.
I myself ordered it after I heard about it on the big Lugnet buzz.  It
emptied all of my small kiddie allowance.. but was worth it.

Set Rating
This set has many rare and new pieces, and adds alot to anybody's Lego
collection.  I would love it in bulk.(But I'm a kid!)

Model Rating
This model is superb.  It is very realistic, and has to be the best Lego
locomotive ever.  It stands very well by itself, and begs to have cars added.

Playability Rating
I've given this an excellent- the transparent portholes, opening doors and
removable top are all good and well, but it is simply just a locomotive with
area for two minifigs.

Likes/Dislikes
I like the many bricks in bulk- those sloped roof pieces would work well on
pasengar cars.  Also, the many curved pieces make me happy.  The only thing
I dislike is that the portholes are too dark- they arn't the exect red and
grey color.

Scale
This is a minifig scale set- and very well done.

Errors
Only the colors of the portholes.

Extra Elements
A few plates, and decerotive motor sides.

CONCLUSION
I love this set.
