I'll be the first to admit my Lego Train experience and exposure isn't • big,
but I don't think I could have picked a better time to get involved, • with
the release of the Super Chief.  I've looked a few of the older Lego • sets,
and the current ones, but for what it's worth, I think the Super Chief • is
the first real looking engine that Lego has put out.  Please note, I'm • not
saying the MOCs that exist aren't on par, just Lego.  The Metroliner • is
great, but honestly, who wants to show of a long train with a • Metroliner as
the engine.  The MOT program is nice, but I think for many train fans, • who
probably remember a lot of HO and Lionel trains, they wanted a diesel • train
that "looks" like a train.  Just my two cents.  Here's hoping that • maybe
Lego will license a few other engines!

In Europe, certainly the UK, real engines DO look like Metroliner
engines. And have done for many decades.
It is only the Americans who seem to think that train engines ought to
look like something shunting around in a goods yard, instead of a
streamlined head of a high speed train.
