Sometimes I forget why I build trains; what started it all for me.
12 years old. John, that's how old I was when I received my most favoured
LEGOR(R) train set-- set #7740. I'd lived in England at age 11-- saw the
7740 and gray era 4.5v/12v trains debut. Returned to The States before
turning 12. Lusted after the 12v stock, which wasn't available. Biggest
surprise birthday present I ever got.
I read you're hating being 12, but I hope that's just a "host-my-pics" issue
that will soon pass.
Like it or not, here's the current state of my tilting British Rail APT set.
The instructions are a bit non-linear, but it is the best I have time for in
the moment.

Hope this helps in some manner or another...always building toward a better
train!

James Mathis
