Hi,
I'm working in a project to optimize the use of wagons for a Brazilian
railroad company. We need to write the documentation of the project in English
also.
My question is:
Do you know an expression that is used when you have more traction power than
is necessary?
We are thinking in use "Spare Traction". Is it good?

| (...) 'Traction' on it's own is some times used to describe locomotives so 'Spare Traction' might mean locos that aren't being used. - Tractive Effort is the term I think you should use. I'll ask about at work whether it should be 'surplus', (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)
