Hi James,

yes, I remember your ICE 3 project. Looks very nice, but a real one would be
much better :-) I also have non of these new screen pieces, so I can't tell you
if it works? It won't be a good windscreen for an 8-wide ICE 3?

I'm sure you will find a good-looking solution.

Check out Markus' ICE Project at: http://www.markusstrick.de/ticketcenter

Looks like a very good start.  I like the look of the curving roof bricks.
Whoah!  Look at all the special thin-wall windows in the combination
trans-light blue framed in white.  I look forward to seeing more of Markus' ICE!

I have really enjoyed browsing the train gallery at 1000steine for ICE sets.
Many great looking sets:  Close-coupled, nice rounded door windows,
excellent designs.

In real-life, I think it is a diesel unit that also tilts.

Don't mind on the tilting. You have allready shown that you CAN build a >working
tilting mechanism.

I wish I had some video of the APT tilt train in-action.  It is interesting
to watch it tilt through curvy-curves.  I should subtly point out that since
I announced the working version a few months ago, I have resigned to elevate
the car bodies from the bogies by an approximate one-plate air gap to reduce
the rolling resistance.  The APT is an 8 car set, and the combined
lift-and-tilt action due to the rotation of the bogies simply incured too
much rolling resistance.

The ICE 3 is in fact an electric train - similar to the ICE
1 and 2. The Tilting Version is a special version of the ICE 3 and is called
ICE T. The diesel version of the ICE T is called ICE TD. [ICE 1, 2 and 3 are
just electric trains.]
