I just wanted to say thanks for the kind words. The Technic axle is a #2 not a
#3. I also considered using a 1/2-connector-peg-1/2-axle-peg piece too. I might
revisit that idea when I run out of #2 axles. The steering piece thingy could be
replaced with a Technic 1x3 connector beam thingy too, but I only have 2 of
those, so I went with the steering piece. Unfortunately, I am now also out of
1x4 Technic plates :( I guess I'll just have to go buy some more:)
By the way, I feel your pain with your autorack. My 44 stud long (effective
length of 50 studs due to truck placement) double stacks (container carriers)
barely clear the yellow switch thing on the switch tracks. I'll have to be extra
careful if I ever get around to building an 8-wide autorack.
Thanks,
Chris
