There are more pictures of the Vancouver Public Library building at
http://www.towells.net/library/
It is modeled (fairly closely) after a real building in Vancouver, BC.
All of the curved wall sections rely exclusively on 1x2 pieces to allow
flex. The windows are 1x2x3 panels, there are some 1x2 plates. The building
is affectively two buildings. An inter one mostly of black that is kinda
cross shaped (for strength and to put black behind the windows) and the
outer one which that has the right shape. It is not detailed inside (too
hard and you couldn't see it anyway). It is modeled at about one brick
height equals 6 feet (2 meters). It looks like it has 4 stories but each
window is really 2 floors on the original building. There really is a
park or garden on the top and on the balconies (or whatever you call them),
although I took some license in how I modeled those. I don't think there
is as large an antenna farm on the real one but I got carried away.
