  Re: New Sketches/Photos up

(...) funny, MY Marklin catalog shows only the end 2 units with bogies, the center three are one axle per end. (URL) then click on featured model, DB cargo sprinter (this link may not work forever) ++Lar (24 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New Sketches/Photos up

The Cargo Sprinter, yet another model I've had my eye on (the Beyer-Garrett is the other). In my Marklin catalog it show the flatbed with bogies. I'll try to remember to scan tonight and add to Brickshelf. BTW I figued I'd build 6 or 5 wide (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: So who wants to update Track Designer?

(...) If Leonardo has the willingness and ability and the time, then he would seem to be the man for the job. I think a good chunk of us here have the first two - it's the available time that is the hard one. :-) SRC (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: So who wants to update Track Designer?

(...) I did the NGLTC tables, but the thing about Track Designer is that you can't export/import single elements, its all or nothing. Maybe who ever updates it can add that feature. jt (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Sadly, I've got no revolutionary new assembly technique to share here. It's just a bunch of 1x1x4 antennae for stanchions, with the long plastic piping found on podracers snipped to length for the handrail, and a wee tiny dollop of "ShooGoo" (...)   Re: So who wants to update Track Designer?

No one else with MFC/C/C++ experience has volunteered so unless there is any objection I'll offer it to Leonardo. I'll try and collect all the source code together this weekend. Matt (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New Sketches/Photos up

Nice to see another Cargo Sprinter model. It certainly is less "beefy" than the one I built. The profile of your Cargo Sprinter allows the load of 4 wide containers to look good. I find that this Cargo Sprinter model is quite a challenge to get the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Well considering that train bridges are currently the prime focus of StRuCtures, it's a natural for NALug to showcase them. The simple monorail one at the show last week was a basic concept test - larger and more elaborate ones are on the way. (...)   Re: So who wants to update Track Designer?

In lugnet.trains, Matthew Bates writes: Hi, I've used Matt's TD a long time ago and I saw that the train tracks were being added to the LCAD library in the current vote, so I had the idea of turning it into a plugin for LeoCAD. That way it would be (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Gondola Prototype. Looking for opinions

(...) Yup the Underside is just something I hadn't gotten to yet. I will beef it up when I get a chance to go back and work on it some more. (Actually it's hard to tell because of the camera angle but the other end and side arn't done yet either :-) (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)
