  Re: World Record LEGO Bridge

(...) With just 3 - 5 People we might own 600 ... 800 meters of 12V track, but it seems hard to find the people for the last 400 meters we need. And maybe even harder to find is the place for an event and a date where everybody has time enough. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  161- it' s dead :(

Hi all, I just dug up my old 181 train set from the attic and was very displeased to find that the battery box -a.k.a. #161- does not work anymore. I tested the 181 4.5V motor, it runs fine. I tried to find out what was wrong with the battery box (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Pinball Machine DAT

A few folks have requested how the pinball machine in the Spamcake Diner was built. I've added a link next to its picture so you can DL a DAT version at your leisure. (URL) McD. when replying, contrary to all rumors, spamcake is *not* Soilent Green. (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.publish, lugnet.build, lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: How many ambassador cars did you get?

(...) After a weekend of world records, I think PNLTC was aiming for one last world record (largest train wreck, or perhaps largest ambassador car train wreck?) before they cleaned up the last of their display. Of course, this one is entirely (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Added Instructions to Website

Very nice instructions on the wagontop box car. Now I'd like to see some instructions on the SD-40, I'd have to say that yours if very impressive, but it's hard to get a feel for it since the black hides all the detail in the pictures. jt -- ---- (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  World Record LEGO Bridge

Just to clarify a few details about the World Record LEGO Bridge. It is, as far as I know, a World Record length of bridge span - officially measured (with guidance from a bridge engineer) at 16 feet 10 inches. The bridge has been called a (...)   Re: Wreck

How many ambassador cars did you get?

Hi, and wow. The long shots reveal just how impressive the PNLTC layout really was. I am curious about the number of ambassador cars that ran at the display. Can you estimate how long, in feet, inches, or meters etc., the ambassador train was? By (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)
