  Re: economics of set 3225

I finally completed my 3225 Classic Train last night. It is very relaxing to build at the end of the evening. I have to agree with the majority of previous posts, it is a weird little train. It is cute, but the cars just look 'odd'. The best car (...) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 7777 Train Idea Book, Carlsbad Grand Opening

David, congrats on your win! I just got a really nice HP 895C color printer. Has anyone attempted to build their own 7777 book using the online scans? I'm wondering how many ink cartridges it will take to print all the pages, full size at the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sd, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

7777 Train Idea Book, Carlsbad Grand Opening

Hi folks, I recently won a 7777 Idea Book at auction. Even though it's a bit worn, it has been good to have the book to look at, since many of the illustrations and pictures span two pages. (While this works well in books, the online scans split (...) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sd, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: Lego Loco Postcard penpals?

It's random if you're using 'single player' mode over the Internet (we did that some last night and it was frustrating because of the randomness) but according to the instruction manual (which isn't very good) if you use Multi-Player mode and if (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Thanks to Lugnet.Trains and RTL Participants

Thanks to Lugnet.Trains and RTL Participants

After two years as an avid Lego train enthusiast, I have decided to refocus my hobby time on model railroading ("garden-size"G-Guage). I am writing to thank the regular contributors to Lugnet.Trains & RTL for your enthusiasm, good humor, knowledge, (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego Loco Postcard Penpals?

(...) I thought these were random, you launch a postcard and another postcard kicking around out there somewhere comes back. No control over who it goes to or whose you get back. I have not yet been able to get this to work... but I was dialed in (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: removable stickers?

(...) No, it's made from a bunch of little bricks. <bah dump-bump> Sorry but I could not resist. Actually, in the MR hobby, dry transfer lettering is used a lot as well if there are no ready made decals available. Sounds like Robin is talking about (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)
