If you go to the Hobby Store and talk to one of the knowledgeable individuals they will point you in the direction of I believe "easy off" by Polly Scale. I've had my can for almost 5 years and can remove decals that have been on for years or cover (...) (25 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Decals that have had nothing sprayed on them should come off fine if you soak them long enough. They adhere with a water based adhesive. Solvaset basically softens the plastic enough to get it to conform to irregular surfaces, so you SHOULD still be (...) (25 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
