I'm not sure I understand the question exactly, but they all have the same motor. It's just incorporated differently into the engine model. The 4559 does not have the motor connected by a bogey plate, like the 4565, if that's what you're asking. It (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Do you perhaps mean a different set? 4559 (ref: (URL) ) has a little tiny engine built on top of the motor unit. It's difficult to see how to give it two motors. Even the alternate steamer has only one. (oh how I long for the days when Lego (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Ben ... IMHO the 4559 locomotive is great! They just beg to be built with two motors ... they're just the right weight to give two motors excellent traction. Two two motor units will pull more cars than the magnetic couplers can handle! To add (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)
