I just uploaded some vidcaps of the January 8, 2000 WAMALUG meeting. (URL) apologize for the low resolution and poor color rendering. My camcorder seems to have a problem with the color red, and my capture card only does 320x240. Dan should have (...) Mark/Peter, I have built this train from the instructions....but that was Christmas 1969 and my Dad did most of it. Sorry to say that I have neither the box or the instructions now but it was such a simple model that by following the pictures you (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

This is so cool. I love to hear stories like this. If TLG is really reading these posts this must prove that LEGO trains are a viable alternative to more traditional "TOY TRAINS" SteveB PNLTC (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

If you can scrape up a few grey windows you can build decent cars from the engine parts of a second set. I built one using blue framed town windows and while it wasn't GREAT, it looks OK. (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)
