  New pictures of 700, Potential challenge to big red
 
Finally, (Thanks to Steve) some new, cleaner pictures are up on the PNLTC webpage of my SPS 700 4-8-4 Steam Engine. (URL) was browsing Larry's designs and he seemed to note that Big Red was the longest non-articulated engine around. Hmmm, perhaps (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)
 
  5 Unit articulated container car
 
As promised... Tail end of Containers page now has a few snaps of my 5 unit articulated container car. This baby is huge. This one car goes all the way around a semi circle of track with some spillover. 12 axles, 6 bogies/trucks, 10 articulation (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Agreed. I'd characterise it as a suspension bridge, though, as I saw no sign of a mechanism. The plate is being unloaded from the truck by hand. I have no idea what the fig on the top is doing, though. Perhaps he's a vandal, getting ready to (...) (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)
