Re: Ponte Vecchio - Elevated Road Bridge Over Rail

Great ideas Erik! Only you've got the wrong Italian city for the Ponte Vecchio. It is actually in Florence. The Ponte Vecchio bridge is very interesting because on top of the bridge are 2 galleries, the lower gallery consists of shops and stores, (...)   Re: 4565 is $50 off at Zany Brainy

(...) When I called this morning, they said they were not on sale, they were $149.99. I asked them if they were sure, as other ZBs had flyers for them being on sale at $99.99, and they insisted that they were not on sale. I think they also said (...) I was working on Sydney (Oz) a few months back, and the Mono-rail there had no driver (or so it appeared). Perhaps this could be a way for TLG to save money if the ever use mono-rail again? (a cynical) Scott A Tobias Möller wrote in message ... (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 4565 is $50 off at Zany Brainy

(...) after (...) My local store in CA did NOT have them on sale. I called a few other states, and most ZBs were out of them already, or very low in stock. If you want some, I suggest you call your local ZB *TODAY*, and if they are out, call other (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Do you like monorails?

Do you like them? I think they are cool, because you can have stations on top of houses, and they move so quiet. They remind me somewhat of a futuristic hover-train. that´s probably why the first monorail was a space one. --Tobias (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
