  LaCrosse Train Show Wrap-up (Late!)

Wow- It's been 2 months since our last show, and things have been so crazy that I never did a write up about it:-/ Now, let's see if I can remember back that far! Well, from our standpoint, the show went very smoothly. The layout was our largest to (...) (18 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, FTX)

Re: Anyone free for dinner on Wed. May 16, 2007?

(...) Oops:-/ Hey, Paul- Been away from LUGNET for a while and missed your post. It would have been nice to meet up, although it wouldn't have worked out on Wednesday for me anyway-- I had a gig already. Next time, though!   Re: Concertina wagon... and a whole lot of SNOT

(...) Cool, but I did you ever tell us about this one (which shares a gallery with your concertina wagon)? (URL) is also very nice, and I don't think I've seen 1x3 bricks with bow used that way before. Thanks for the inspiration, Chris (18 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim)

  Re: LDD PRR T1 #6110

(...) Per above, I have added a bit more detailing to my LDD model. I added side steps and rails to the cab's side "doors". I extended the tender and added an access ladder and some marklights on the back... I would ideally use 1X3 smooth curves on (...) (18 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Concertina wagon... and a whole lot of SNOT

(URL) Hi all, This remarkably plain wagon has a deadly secret inside... it's filled with SNOT!!!! I wanted to do the concertina effect very subtly which meant half plate differences in two directions at once in addition to the half plate height (...)   What size do you build your five-wide containers?

Hi all, As a recent convertee to five-wide containers I'm really curious what dimensions other people working with that width use. At present I'm using a 5x12 footprint (or larger multiples of six for larger containers), a main height of 5 bricks (...) (18 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LDD Model of GG-1 Electric Locomotive - Advice Requested

(...) Bruce Chamberlain postulated that the problem is due to one of the 3-axle trucks being *pushed* through the curve rather than pulled. I suspect that a rubber band between the two 3-axle trucks would help - I will try that sometime. --Bill. (18 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: FRED- flashing rear end device

(...) Solution: don't put the light on the end. Put the light interior to the container, and pipe it to the end using a fiber-optic piece. The size of the flasher (about the size of a stud) would then be more correct, and it could be hidden about as (...) (18 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: FRED- flashing rear end device

(...) Thank you. And don't forget that the non-electric version is a lot less obtrusive, (URL) (...) Grin (18 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Tequila Sunrise

(...) Sure, yellow is prototypical... (URL) the yellow and gray are backwards, real life can't get everything right) Now as for doing it in dark gray, if you want to say it hit a few rocks thrown by the children along the line, you could use the top (...)
