  The Old Dutch Windmill

Recently, the Northern Illinois Lego Train Club was given a task. For our first show at the Geneva History Center, each of us created a historic building in the town. For my part, I did a model of the town's old dutch windmill, known as the Fabyan (...) (18 years ago, 25-Apr-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.trains.org.niltc, lugnet.town, lugnet.build, FTX) !!

  Re: JR C58-363 Paleo

(...) A very nice piece of engineering! As usual, I love the details. As someone already noticed on Flickr, the two "shields" on the front seem to be a bit too thick, although I am aware this might be as best as it can get without ruining other (...)   Re: ILTCO email down?

(...) It is fixed now. The ILTCO site had a e-mail change a while back where all of the addresses had to be specifically registered as opposed to using a catch all like we had done in the past. The change helped slow the amount of spam sent to ILTCO (...) (18 years ago, 24-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains)

  ILTCO email down?

I tried to email ILTCO from their main webpage, which sends emails to feedback@ but my email came back 'Delivery has failed:SMTP server has rejected address' and I have no idea what that means. Is their email not working?? I know this isn't really (...) (18 years ago, 24-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains)

More buildings for NMRA in Detroit

Hi All, I completed 3 more building facades completed for Detroit. I think I have two more to go and then I am done. A few highlights: Maerske blue (I used quite a few of the 1x6 inverse slopes to get the 1x1 striping effect in the facade), dark (...)   Re: LDD slug models

Just a follow-up to add my latest incarnation of the yard slug, this time in Canadian National colors. You see them working in tandem a lot with EMD GP road-switchers in CN'S larger sorting yards. (URL) I've added a version that is LEGO's standard (...) (18 years ago, 23-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

After some work this weekend, my LDD 'Streamlined Hudson' has improved quite a bit. I scrapped the first one and created another MOC's with two stylings; a Dreyfuss and the the Empire State Express. The Empire State Express is the one that I am most (...) (18 years ago, 22-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: monorail maintenance?

(...) Monorail trains just run slow. Just how slow depends on your perspective. I just ran two sets of monorail at the NASM (National Air and Space Museum) yesterday. The new monorail set I just acquired last weekend seemed to move a bit faster than (...) (18 years ago, 22-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Controlling trains with NXT?

(...) Indeed, Steve Hassenplug & I did exactly this at BrickFest 2005 with the GBC trains - we had two trains running around a single loops, but in this case used four isolated sections so that each side fo the loop was under the complete control of (...)   Dutch Koploper

After a (too) long hiatus of train building, I am back. I build the Dutch "Koploper". (URL) I build 4 head (=engine) sections, and 4 passenger cars, I will take it to NMRA 2007 for its inaugural run. A pilot version ran at the GTE Columbus show, but (...) (18 years ago, 22-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
