Hi all, Just sneaking an MOC in here between all the discussions on the new release sets. It's a little Koef shunter (switcher) which I built at seven-wide thinking at first it was a wide gauge train. (2 URLs) BS gallery> The trick on this is the (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.loc.de, FTX) !

(...) To play devil's advocate for a moment - how is the situation different from the conversion from 4.5V to 12V? That needed conductor rails, points, crossing, motor and transformer. In cost terms, including average inflation of 3% for 16 years (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

Yes, the new crane car is quite nice and I look forward to adding it to my collection. Another thing that has been looked over with the new sets is the part selection. While the IR based motor and battery bound baseplate are not ideal, the parts in (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)
