Re: New train? (set 7898 from 2006)

(...) Hmm. Hypothesising on these pictures... You can see the raised 'patch' on the side of both engines, like that that appeared in Jake's keynote speech. I don't think it's stretching the imagination too much to take this to be an IR sensor - this (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.it.itlug, lugnet.parts)

  Re: WOW!

--SNIP-- (...) I think I can see a gap on the round brick but the slopes look flush. Could be microsnottery or just some discrete edges. Tim (19 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town)

(...) Does anyone know how this was done? (URL) do I detect a small gap above the bend? Andreas (19 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town)

Re: New train? (set 7898 from 2006)

(...) I'm wondering if they are effective sets or just prototypes. About 4 jears ago (really much time has gone!) we've already seen a look-like-ICE train with a white-red livery, but later the set had a green strip (somebody sad due to some royalty (...)   Re: SCLTC enters final two weeks at SDMRRM; Pictures!

(...) Aaron- Thanks for the compliment. The track arrangement, compared to others we have done, is really very straightforward and, in fact, (ignoring sidings) very symmetrical. After doing our largest show ever at the Orange County Fair for 3 (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

(...) photos snipped (...) The layout looks great again this year, but man, that's a convoluted track plan. I heard rumor while I was there that the museum was interested in possibly establishing a permanent home for a LEGO layout. Any progress in (...) (...) .. Eric- Thanks for the comments. The cable-stayed bridge was built as two 60-inch spans that we can separate if desired. For this display, we modified them so that their decks can tilt relative to their towers. This allows each bridge to (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc)

Awesome display! When I think SCLTC, I think of great layouts like this! Hey cool, I didn't know (you had or there were) two of those white cable span bridges. Amazing. Happy New Year BTW. Thanks for putting these pictures up. e (19 years ago, 4-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc)
