(...) A correction to the above. The cars run off of 3 volts max, not 6 volts! And the rechargable device is not a battery, but a specalized capacitor. These are some great replies here! Most of what I read so far seems to be similar to other group's experiences, it is great to hear them echoed. I think these kind of threads are vital, it helps us all gauge our own successes and burnouts vs the (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

The Central Ohio Lego Train Club (COLTC) recently completed our 2nd Home Town Great American Train Show (GATS). Our layouts at shows have gotten bigger over time, mostly because the venues have warmed up to the fact that we can cover just about any space they've been willing to give us.
