Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) <Snip> Gary, Outstanding! I've been dreaming of a book like this and can't wait to get a read. I got my first LEGO sets in the early 1960's and they didn't survive my younger siblings' abuse, alas, they are no more. So it will be great to see (...)   Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

That sounds like an awesome project and I would be interested in purchasing one when made available. I'm always looking in toy catalogs for old lego toys and their worth but haven't had any luck. I'm sure that much of the LUGNET community (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

Could you please say something in your reference about collector value being different in other parts of the world compaired to North Amerika? We would hate to see prices here being off as a result of what you are going to state in your "standard (...)   Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Well thanks for the encouragement folks! The main reason that I came out with this information early was that I could get feedback from AFOLs. One possibility would be to give you folks an option, by coming out with both a book and a CD. Also (...)   My First Train MOC

For my first train MOC, I wanted to do something small, simple and fairly easy to recognize. It is based on the recipe from the ILTCO website. (URL) let me know what you think. :) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Traction Engine

(...) That looks very nice! I like it a lot. I think you've done an excellent job of capturing the essence of an old steam tractor. My only criticism is that it seems too small for minifigs. This page (URL) has some pictures (about 2/3 of the way (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Congrats Gary! Following up on Lindsay's question, if you do decide to make a .pdf available, within about 10 minutes you could have a book available on cafepress.com. Just upload the .pdf and cover graphics (JPGs) and you'll rake in free (...)   Re: Mini-fig Scale Maersk Ship...

(...) Well, this is the hard place! (URL) This container is 40ft x 8ft x 9ft6in high, the size I see on lorries in the UK, built to 8mm:1ft scale. You could drive a model of a 5ft wide fork lift truck into it or two minifigures could walk in side by (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Hey, this sounds very interesting. As a Mac (not MAC) user, I am a bit curious about the format. Will it be a PDF? That would make the book available to people using any operating system. Also, what sort of price are you estimating? If the CD (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

  Re: Mini-fig Scale Maersk Ship...

  Re: Mini-fig Scale Maersk Ship...

(...) Agreed. This is a known issue with the standard (as designed by LEGO) minifig scale container, it's too small. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place though, either we abandon the design (and lose compatability and not have a use for all (...)   Wild West links page

Hi all, Aargh! I can't help myself. In poring through Brickshelf for the animals list I made recently, I keep finding great creations to catalog.
