Thanks for the reply. I remebered seeing that technique on your gray train station "study" as I think you called it. That is why I thought you did the same thing on the door. (...) Thanks. I love elegant solutions too. Yes, it works -exceedingly- reliably on every car I've tried, from the lightest (two wheelsets and a plate), to my heaviest loco. My design is more straight forward and not as cool as Will's. I put a 5114 9 volt motor just behind the blade and simply ran an axle out of it. I get my power from a 5115 9 volt battery box (which has the two red switches for forward and reverse, (...) (25 years ago, 15-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
