(...) Colors I have seen: Brown, Black, Red, Yellow, Clear, Blue, Pink(!), Original Gray (not the darker gray) and (I think) Clear Yellow.   Re: Box Cars

The idea has possibilities, as all of my box car sliding doors are gray:-p (except a red one borrowed from the 7722) Yo, Tom- when you do get around to building freight, why not try living dangerously and spend some time on the 8 wide side. As Cat (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Box Cars

That's how I was going to use the doors in the first place but then decided to try them in the rails. I've got to take some time to build some freight cars. Lately I've been busy building scenery and a couple of new diesels, but first I need to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

I have a few of those doors on boxcars, but not used in the sliding capacity. Used as regular doors, they for me make good reefer doors. --John (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

I built a box car awhile back using those doors, never scanned the car although. I don't think I still have it together. :-( I'm sure I wasn't the first, but when I showed another PNLTC member he hadn't seen that door used that way before. There are (...) I haven't noticed this one yet (but someone has to have discovered it before me), has anyone else noticed that the 3.5x4x5 rectangular doors (which hang on the 1x1x2 brick) work in the sliding door rails? I'm going to build a box car using these. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
