Larry, Wow, that was a informed response! :) I was just wondering about the companies and so forth. I am just getting into trains, and I guess I wanted to know some background on them. Do they have a website or anything? Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Help identifying Trains

To all, I have been interested in building some Lego trains based on the local carriers in the Michigan area. I took a few snapshots this weekend of a few, I was wondering if anyone can identify these for me or know of where I can get some more (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Sounds like I'll have to get my gears out and do some modifications then :) not that I wasn't planning that already.. I want to make an old fashioned Snow Remover car for my steam engine anyway :) Thanks for the "review" :) Tamy (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: new train stuff

(...) I'd say its at least halfway decent...the blade is strange because the whole dang assembly moves. it also seems a bit stylized rather than functional, but i'm not an expert on snow removers. i think it would be a little better if it ran on (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What does everyone think of the Freight and Crane Railway?

I really like the 4565 for the spare parts, a lot of different types of black slopes, perfect for making old steam locomotives. The alternate model, (instructions can be found on Matt Bates Train Depot) has some pretty neat details to the wheels (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Anyone else get the small station or sneeuwruimer (snow remover, but i have much fun trying to pronounce the other word) yet? Mine shipped way earlier than S@H said they would. What do people think of this new stuff? Patricia (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What does everyone think of the Freight and Crane Railway?

(...) the 4564 is modeled after a Swiss/German/French?? diesel engine. go to: www.roco.com and look at the diesels engines. The 4565 bugs me a bit because it doesn't seem to be based on anything. (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)
