Why is it that there is such a huge chunk of the MRR hobby (both Lego and traditional) that puts sooooo much time into automation? My personal suspicion is that it's just because automation is cool and fun, but I'm not sure. A lot of the stuff that (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Looks like you have a good start on several interesting projects. The linear transfer table is of interest to me. It is similar to some of the projects I have worked on with my machines. I did not know that such a device was ever used by railroads. (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I did. It's an iPAQ 3670 in there. The iPAQ's screen and dimensions match LEGO studs perfectly. (...) The sign is a micro motor with the sign directly attached.
