  new GMLTC 'teaser' picture

Although if I keep posting 'teaser' pictures, I'll reveal *all* our secrets before the layout is even done! Anyway, here's a shot of Abner and a few of our 'downtown' buildings. No, he's not playing Godzilla, he's fine-tuning his sand green bank (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) The wire that this part contacts (in real life) is indeed catenary, but the proper name for the part, were it named functionally, (and that's a debating point in and of itself) is "pantograph shoe" because that's what its real counterpart is (...) (...) Strange name in my view as I see it as a electrical conductor rather than a holder on anything? The "Catenary" does make sense however - It is the shape of a curve which hanging cables form - well at least it is the shape of suspension bridge (...)
