Shaun Sullivan wrote: <snip> (...) LOL Don't feel like you have to apologize;-) You have created an awesome MOC, Shaun, and you have realized (regardless of any blathering pro or con) for yourself the merits of building 8 wide (or wider;) Glad to (...)   Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Thanks, Jason. I picked the German steam train to fit in with the motif of my other models, primarily, as I tend to lean towards utilitarian workhorse designs. Political ramifications aside, the German industrial boom of the 1930s produced (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Sean - just want to say, _fantastic_ engine. You can't even tell it's Lego from the thumbnails! The working linkages on a flexible wheelbase are just amazing. But why a German steam train? Did you just have a lot of black bricks around? What's (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Town Building Contest - Special Category results

Here's a partial listing of the special category results for the contest. It turned out to be a very time consuming job doing the judging, so not every special category has a result. If I get more in later, I will post them. The contest home page is (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

  Re: GFLTC/GFLUG at the 40th H & R Train Show...

(...) Is it okay if my son (11) brings along his entry for the train building contest? He just finished it and wild Scala horses couldn't keep him from hauling it along;-) I think I might bring my 14 wide caboose to see if I can run it on H & R's (...)   Re: The sound of train

I don't have any specifically for trains, but my crane has a two-tone warning sound - you can find the programming info at (URL) The warning sound is generated by RCX1. I'm not sure how difficult it will be to translate this into NQC, but basically (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.trains)

  Re: The sound of train

Thanks. Could you show me legOS source? (both steam and diesel), I have no idea about music or sound. I can convert it to NQC, what I am using NQC is that I want to make all my programs that can be used both by RCX and Scout. Zhengrong (...)   Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Hmm, good question. Actually, I don't know - I only have a couple pieces of borrowed track right now, not even enough to make a full loop. I will be able to tell you after the NELUG train show this weekend though. -s (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)
