  Couple of new(ish) buildings

I have posted pictures of a couple of buildings I have had kicking around for awhile. (URL) dark red one was built a few years ago in red, and I recently re-did it in dark red. It is inspired by a building called The Piano Factory on Bruckner Blvd (...) (18 years ago, 7-Nov-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!

  Re: Pratchett's Building

The car was my favorite part. I love that classic style, and now I see it built in LEGO. (18 years ago, 3-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Pratchett's Building

(...) Now that is a true compliment. Thanks indeed. (...) Me too! I'm not really supposed to say that, though. I just wanted to quickly build a car but with the right pieces at hand things can turn out just as they exist in your head. (...) Thank (...) (18 years ago, 2-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Pratchett's Building

Thanks! (...) You're the smart one of the two of us. It is the most painstaking process ever. I'll probably won't do it again soon. (...) Actually, I in some way stole it off of Brad Hamiltons excellent (URL) Capitalist Pig Reeducation Center>, (...)   Re: Pratchett's Building

(...) Sweet!! I like the color combo, as well as the overall design. Picture (URL) #25> looks almost lifelike. The building's surroundings are also fantastic, and I especially like this car design: (URL) Nice work!! "Big Daddy" Nelson (18 years ago, 2-Nov-06, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Pratchett's Building

(...) Goodness me, that is wonderful! I just love the 'iron work' fences and though I don't do interiors on my buildings, those here are just fabulous. Excellent elevator! Love the smoothness of most areas too! The tan/dark orange is not my favorite (...) (18 years ago, 2-Nov-06, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Unlikely Society: Chapter 1

(...) Well, there's about as much humor and excitement as you can get into just 4 pages. I really like the special effects. They look top notch! David (18 years ago, 31-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Factory creation

(...) SNIP There were a LOT of bugs in the previous incarnations' instruction generation.   Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) Thanks very much. Of course I steal a lot of the tricks from our German building friends so 1000steine is really the source of it. (...) That's precisely why I like working with the constrained pallette of Lego rather than full kitbashing (...) (18 years ago, 30-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Unlikely Society: Chapter 1

Greetings true believers! Chapter 1 of our Lego superhero comic, "The Unlikely Society," is posted. Noble acts of heroism, dastardly villainy, tragic deaths, and a morose robot -- this one chapter has it all. Check it out and let us know what you (...)   Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) I love it. I am constantly amazed by the things you do with the brick. I like the approach of using the 2x2 clear slope underneath the yellow arch. It obviously isn't perfect, but it works and it works just fine. The point is clearly made with (...) (18 years ago, 30-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
