Doc Ock's Hideout reviewed at Millionaire Playboy site

I ran across this trolling around, not sure how long it's been out. They have reviewed other LEGO and MB sets in the past. (URL) site is collectible toy focused rather than LEGO focused... so their emphasis is on play value and the number of figures (...)   Re: Amish Farm

Wow, nice MOC. And that is a HUGE barn!! Great design on it though, I really like it! And also, great design with the cellar/basement do.r! If only you'd made the entire thing on a hill so you could include the basement. Great work!!! -Mark Visit (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Amish Farm

(...) Perfect! That's exactly the kind of detail I was looking for. (...) Heh- I was looking at it yesterday when it went down for exceeding the hourly bandwidth. Beautiful! (2 URLs) AndroDan>> Tony Hafner (URL) www.hafhead.com> (21 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Amish Farm

(...) Thats great. I love the little details like taking the bark off the logs and the carrot patch. Truly, an inspiration to anyone building a farm. -Mike Petrucelli (21 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Amish Farm

(...) David, I've spent bits and pieces of the last couple days looking over these pics, loving everything I see. I'm pretty impressed with the perfect simplicity of the cellar door, the lawnmower that others have mentioned, the cornfield, and most (...) (21 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  catalog scan

Back in 2001 the LEGO Shop-at-Home catalog showed "instructions" for building a schoolhouse with bulk packs. I can't find my 2001 catalogs. Can someone who has one please scan that page for me? Russell (21 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.db.scans, lugnet.inst, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.town)

  Re: Amish Farm

(...) Well, I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I did have a couple of Amish minifigs go renegade on a power pole at the GATS: (URL) If you want to see an Amish guy attacking power regulators and such, you'll have to check out my Amish Renegade (...)   Re: Amish Farm

(...) Yes, that is a hand-pushed lawnmower leaning against the house. At the Indianapolis GATS I had a guy actually mowing the lawn; the unmowed grass was green plates on top of the baseplate, and the mowed grass was green tiles beside that. I'll (...)   Re: BrickTopia - Road & Rail Cargo Center

(...) Thanks - That "real" building looks cool. Do you have any larger pics? Perhaps you could forward the link, if applicable? (21 years ago, 26-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: BrickTopia - Road & Rail Cargo Center

(...) Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the white ramps are quite obnoxious looking and interrupt the vertical thrust of the building. They are there explicitly to add rather blatant dissonance. Not only does the shape not match, but the "white" (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-04, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Amish Farm

(...) But where art the rest of the detail shots? Anyone "churning the butter" in the house? And when this was at the train show, was there anyone in a straw hat attacking the power regulators? (2 URLs) AndroDan>> Tony Hafner (URL) www.hafhead.com> (21 years ago, 26-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Amish Farm

Cooleth! In addition to the barn construction itself, my favorite details are the guy stripping bark off of logs, the buggies, and what looks to be a hand-pushed lawnmower leaning against the house (could you put up a clearer picture of this?). I'm (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: BrickTopia - Road & Rail Cargo Center

Re: BrickTopia - Road & Rail Cargo Center

(...) Nice. A train passing beneath and through a tall building reminded me of a building in downtown San Diego, America Plaza, and its trolley station. (URL) (I couldn't find any really good pics.) Although the trolley's tracks don't go through the (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: foliage and structures posting

(...) I like your garden models, particularly the two above. The bush was nice and simple to make from 20 of the 3-leaf parts from Ninja castles. The apple tree was a bit more difficult. I'm guessing you used about 6 6x5 and 2 4x3 plant leaves. The (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, FTX)
