Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Brilliant! I love the SeaHunter and the unmanned sub puts some recent efforts of mine on the small scale of aquazone to shame... Great work and use of old and new slants... God Bless, Nathan (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Thanks, Gil - and it was good to meet you online! The variable wing was originally going to be a axle setup so the engines could rotate, but I quickly learned that the ship would require gearing to keep the engines in place. Also, the ship (...)   Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Thanks! It's all leading up to a diorama...once I clear my table!:) Joe Meno PS-Your new "theme" is great! I would do one, but I don't think the Newspaper Advertising Artist set would go well:) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

  Minifig scale snow plow, motorized

Hi all! Call it tiny, call it pathetic, call it cute, here is my first real MOC since the end of my dark ages (oct 2002). Thanks to Tim Strutt for kindly taking this photo and movie at the MONLUG train show. The vehicle is very slow, due to the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.town)

Re: MOT (My Own Theme): Chemistry Grad School

(...) Yep, I am deeply entrenched. [Darth Vader voice on] At first I was the student, but now I am the professor. [Vader voice off] Grad school through the bulk of the '90's, post doc the past couple of years, and now a lowly assistant professor. (...) (...) in this picture: (URL) plays a role in this story (set in the first version of the lab): (URL) really should put in an eyewash station, though. Thanks, Bruce (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOT (My Own Theme): Chemistry Grad School

Bruce, This is seriously one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Not only did you build something funny, you've managed to lampoon the whole field of Post graduate study. This whole thing smacks of someone deeply entrenched in the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.town)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

Very cool Joe...the underwater Alpha stuff is always so intriguing. The variable wing config sets it apart. I quite like the drone as well - it has more a a predatory look, perfect for waxing those Ogel zombies. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

  Two New MOC's

Well, Atleast one and a half. The first is a little motorcycle I "borrowed" from Jun Nishizawa. I thought it was neat, so I built it. See it here: (URL) The second is the "half" MOC I was talking about. It's called the "Hizharu" Flight Pack. It's a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Pictures from MonLUG & ParLUGment Train and Town Layout

(...) Hmmmm? For some reason my sub-directories got moderated, but not the main one. So, here's the links for the moderated directories: (URL) well. Tim Strutt (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.org.ca.monlug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: MOT (My Own Theme): Chemistry Grad School

Great stuff, but I think it's missing an essential bit - the emergency shower & eyewash station! As modelled by the lovely Aimee: (URL) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Pictures from MonLUG & ParLUGment Train and Town Layout

Well, I finally have all the pictures and movies posted to Brickshelf from our Train and Town Layout this past weekend in Montreal. I had a problem trying to get them all into a single directory, so I had to break them up into a few directories. (...) I should be able to make it to the LUGOLA meeting. If not, we could meet up afterwards. I have a few new MOCs too. I look forward to seeing it! -Bruce LEGO @ Bruce's Homepage - (URL) (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.town)

(...) Good point. Or a snake popping out at you. It seems like every other Western set has one of those (the others have exploding safes). Bruce (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.town)

Re: MOT (My Own Theme): Chemistry Grad School

(...) That would be cool! (...) I was never in a frat either. I was thinking that such things would be appropriate, however, because in TLC sets they seem to show up in odd places just so that a set can be more exciting. I figured where else on a (...) (...) going to go the the upcoming LUGOLA meeting? I'll try to be at that. On the monkey, he's a well trained lab technician. That's pretty rare in a monkey, so the price reflects it. :) Later, Bruce (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.town)
