Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) fleshed out, and combined with that steeper sloped section, it makes for a very distinctive roof indeed. Those cops with riot shields really cracked me up. And I've been in real donut shops whose interior was that cramped. Cheers, -The Rev. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe's Donuts is open for business!

(...) I love the sign with the logo. Is it attached to the roof? I really like the lamp post, too. Nifty work, -Kevin (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Joe's Donuts is open for business!

Do your Legoland police need a new place to hang out? One with a little more style than that Dunkin' somethin' down the street? One that is well-protected? Send 'em to Joe's! (URL) thanks to Suzanne Rich for inspiration- I've wanted to do a roof (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!

  Re: Provincial Village

Larry, I think you are right on about the modern era town idea. These could still exist in a modern setting and work well in a tran or town layout! It would (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Provincial Village

(...) Stunningly beautiful. These are great complements for the Blacksmith Shop. These work in that era and also can be used in more modern settings as well (town center buildings, or mixed in with others) Very nice work Jon! Spotlighted (like it (...)   Re: MOC Town Display: VELUX Village (Steenhuizen)

(...) I finally got to see the pictures. Very impressive. And especially for such a short timeline. I really like those grey buildings with multi-colour accents in them. Excellent work, and beautiful buildings. Congratulations. Hope they rewarded (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

  Re: The Yellow Coupe

(...) Thank you, now to explain to him what SNOT is... :-) (...) Oh no, I won't tell him that. He was so worried that people would "steal" his ideas, but I tried to tell him it was actually an honor. Oh well, have fun and be sure to post your models (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: 2003's gonna ruin my savings account...

(...) Yeah, as I thought earlier. I'm just happy I didn't go crazy standing there in the store aisle when I discoveed the new sets. :) The fourth series of adventurers sets definitely hits the mark here! (...)   2003's gonna ruin my savings account...

After seeing my Jan-Feb SAH Catalog and these three posts (and wiping the drool off my keyboard): (URL) I can say is... ...wait for it... WOW! COOL! SWEET! SUPERB! AWESOME! TERRIFIC! GREAT! YEAH!   Re: MOC Town Display: VELUX Village (Steenhuizen)

Appearantly the entire site of my provider is down. That's really bad timing :-( I don't know what's going on. Please try again later. Thanks. Eric (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC Town Display: VELUX Village (Steenhuizen)

(...) I'd love to see this layout, but for some reason I can't access the site. I tried using several anonymous proxy servers, and still no go. Is the site down, or are there pictures somewhere else that I can see? Thanks. Play well. Tim Strutt (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC Town Display: VELUX Village (Steenhuizen)

TOP ! Eric. (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC Town Display: VELUX Village (Steenhuizen)

(...) Great work, Eric! I was already a fan since Otherdam Junction, so this only confirms the great quality of your work. Congratulations! Out of curiosity, did VELUX ask you to apply "their" windows in any particular way, in the town houses? (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: What town set would you recommend to a Technic fan?

(...) That's the set I have in mind right now. I recently ordered 6335 (used) on bricklink, the wheels are attractive. The main street is very old (1980) so it must have a lot of basic bricks and slopes. Still a bit expensive, though. (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

MOC Town Display: VELUX Village (Steenhuizen)

This was the first time a company (VELUX Netherlands) asked me to plan, design and build an exhibition display of LEGO bricks. This display (1.30 x 1.80 m) shows a town with a variety of building types, demonstrating VELUX roof windows in different (...)   Re: What town set would you recommend to a Technic fan?

(...) If you're starting out, the just-rereleased Main Street is a good way to start. It has all the parts to make some nice house(s), doesn't contain much unusable parts and seems pretty decently priced. The Octan gasstation is also quite good, (...) (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

What town set would you recommend to a Technic fan?

Hi all, What do you think is the best town set for someone (like me) who likes almost exclusively Lego Technic and Mindstorms? (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)
