(...) That's the set I have in mind right now. I recently ordered 6335 (used) on bricklink, the wheels are attractive. The main street is very old (1980) so it must have a lot of basic bricks and slopes. Still a bit expensive, though. (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

This was the first time a company (VELUX Netherlands) asked me to plan, design and build an exhibition display of LEGO bricks. This display (1.30 x 1.80 m) shows a town with a variety of building types, demonstrating VELUX roof windows in different (...) (...) If you're starting out, the just-rereleased Main Street is a good way to start. It has all the parts to make some nice house(s), doesn't contain much unusable parts and seems pretty decently priced. The Octan gasstation is also quite good, (...) (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

I hope you enjoy as much as I have! The Yellow Coupe -:- (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

The building looks great. I really like the use of the Grey figure from Harry Potter on the top of the tower. The overall detail is fantastic. You have really caught the look of the building and brought it to life. Great Job!! Can't wait to see what (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) I'm not familiar with those sets. Hopefully we'll see the return of Town soon. I was disappointed to come out of my dark age and find it gone. Then again, I'm developing a taste for those little pull-back motor racer sets. They've got nice (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) WOW! I definitely think Lego NEEDS to produce stuff like this to compete with the Mega-Bloks to-go sets. I love those little sets, but it pains me that lego doesn't have something similar. The use of basic & a few specialty pcs is fantastic, (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.town)
