  Re: Residential Block/Squad 252

(...) Hi Jason, Thanks for looking and commenting. I finally came up with a fire escape that I like! I don't think I'd ever have tried white for the trim on the firehouse, but I think black would work nicely as well. I will try black on my next (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Residential Block/Squad 252

(...) Thanks Kevin! I came up with the lintel(?) idea on my way home from work one day. I am really happy with it as well. Thanks again, Jonathan (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Residential Block/Squad 252

(...) Thanks! No, sorry there are no interior pic's (or interiors) for these buildings. They are actually quite ugly and messy on the inside. To quote Erik Olson when he saw the insides to one of my buildings: "ugh!, look at the inside!" :o) Thanks (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Residential Block/Squad 252

(...) Thanks Lindsay. I am really happy with the firehouse as well. The actual firehouse was built in the late 1800's & has exactly the weathered look you describe. Thanks again for looking and commenting. Best, Jonathan (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: A typical day on the Lake

(...) Josh, This looks real cute, something a little more ferocioius than those tiny sharks. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Residential Block/Squad 252

(...) Jonathan- As expected of you, this is excellent. I'm especially pleased at the burnt-orange building--not an easy color to get enough to build well with, but you've done a first-rate job! The shape of the townhouse, moreover, would not be out (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

A typical day on the Lake

Hi All, I don't usually post here but I made something I thought you might be interested in seeing. Let me know what you think of this one. (URL) was trying to make something organic out of mostly basic bricks and this red sea monster was born. I (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

jonathan lopes wrote in message ... (...) Nice stuff Jonathan! I really like the window surrounds/lintels on the red building, and the curvy top part of the burnt orange building is very nicely done. Kevin ---...--- NEW Cottage kit, 577 pieces! (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: New MOC: A 1962 Volkswagen Microbus (4-wide)

(...) I usually need to avoid the pre-fab door parts and other things because they're often a little too big for my designs. Most of the things I have been building lately have been "Not Quite Minifig" scale (NQMF?) :) They look OK with a Minifig (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: New MOC: A 1962 Volkswagen Microbus (4-wide)

(...) Actually, it's not... it's "regular red". The photos came out a little dark and a little contrasty and I was wondering if someone was going to think it was dark-red. :) I considered messing with the color before I uploaded photos, but I opted (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

(...) your fire escape. That is one of the challanges I am still working on, and have not found a solution that I am particualrlly happy with yet. All of the buildings have some really good details, from the cornice work, to the window trimmings, to (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.town)

  Residential Block/Squad 252

Hello, I wanted to add a Squad Company to my Fire Department and decided upon Squad 252 located in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. The firehouse really caught my eye so I decided to replicate it. I took a ride over there and on the way noticed (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!
