Re: Will Town Die in 2000?

snipped some stuff... (...) The buildings are in those big blue tubs that you can buy pretty cheaply at the store. They don't come with instructions, but if you look around in the neighborhood in which you live, I am sure you will get some ideas... (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)

  Arctic

Don't know where to post, I'll try here. Now that I look at them again, I see lots of good reasons to get the Arctic sets. 1. Kenny! 2. Tank treads 3. Big blue walls 4. Polar bears 5. Orange! 6. Blue asteroid thingies 7. New skis! 8. Hoses 9. Big (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)

Arctic is Town (was: Re: My Analysis of the 2000 Sets)

(...) There's absolutely no question about it. The Arctic sets are numbered 6520, 6569, 6573, 6575, 6579, etc., placing theme smack in the middle of the Town range. Divers, also part of Town, were numbered 6441, 6442, 6555, 6556, 6557, 6558, 6559, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Re: Freight Terminal

Nice. Captures the modern warehouse look nicely. Too many clear garage doors though, IMHO. (you should send them to me) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Will Town Die in 2000?

From the looks of the new 2000 catalog scans, town looks like dying in 2000. In fact its called City Centre now, and the age range is reduced from 5-12 to 5-8. But where's the city centre? And where are the buildings? Just another, even more junior, (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)

How do you know that Arctic is in Town? Could it be a new system? (it looks like it has the Aquazone/rock raiders play theme) maybe all three should be grouped under a "mining" theme KL (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: 2000 lego stuff

(...) You mean lugnet.town.arctic? (Arctic is a play theme within LEGO SYSTEM Town.) What I wanna learn is whether Futbol is a new system or whether it's part of Town... --Todd (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.general)
