I created a minifig scale Mach 5 that I think is a more accurate rendition of the car then the official Lego set - it uses about 40 parts from it. I had a terrible time trying to do this a few years ago ((URL) ) the thickness of the "ice" (or "road" in my case) coupled with the friction of the tiles and the strength of the magnets, agh!
