Re: A new building in Cafe Corner size

(...) Wunderbar! I particularly love the doorway and door but the whole thing is just beautiful. Is it taller than the Cafe Corner? Seeing this and the Cafe Corner tempts me to increase my scale slightly to capture the extra detail. Thanks for (...) (18 years ago, 24-Mar-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Australian road train

(...) lol. I just look up the dimensions of these things and they're restricted to 2.5m wide including mirrors. 8 wide is about 0.8 studs to the foot for US trains (IIRC) so 7/0.8=2.66m so you're right. I thought these things were bigger. They sure (...) (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Australian road train

(...) Very nice, but let's be honest here-- it may be six-wide, but it is 8 wide scale:-) And its 6 wide containers would look spiffy on (URL) this>:-d (hmmm, intermooodal:-d) JOHN (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Australian road train

(...) I remember as a kid being scared s**tless when we overtook those things between Mackay and Brisbane. As an adult knowing what sort of stresses and 'cures' the drivers put themselves through I think I'd be even more scared. Tim (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Australian road train

  Re: MOC: Terraced houses

(...) When they were built, as cheap housing for factory workers in new industrial towns, there were often acres and acres of them. Not a blade of grass in sight. Yes, the kids played in the street - but then, all traffic was horse-drawn and there (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Spring Flowers

(...) Easy, just put them on top of the regular flowers on the stem. In the following pic, you'll notice some regular flowers showing beneath the clikits.   Re: MOC: Terraced houses

(...) Thanks for the description. Very helpful. The pictures don't look all that rough or depressing to me, but then again I'm quite badass myself. ;o) I figured even rough areas have kids that need to run around. Here in NYC there are rough areas (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.town)
