Re: "He who walks behind the rows..."

(...) Pretty scary! Nice build. Is it Stephen King? Christian (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town)

Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) It's the escalators down. That's one big advantage of CAD, you can go places no decent camera can reach. (...) I think his first was in the collapsed portion of Lugnet and is probably disconnected from everything. I agree with you though, it (...) (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) Crikey! I can barely tell what I'm looking at:-) You bring up a good point, though. Is there a single place where all of the entries can be viewed? Jonathan mentions that his Carriage House is his second entry.... I seemed to have missed the (...) (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

--SNIP-- (...) Hey!!! Some contestants already have. You don't get more minifig eye than (URL). ;) Tim (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: several new things

(...) Thanks! I think both of the 'red car' designer sets have been great. Jeff (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) This is excellent feedback, John. Thanks! My main goal is realism and your method and reasoning will add to what I want to accomplish. I think I am a pretty good builder and don't want my pictures to detract from the actual creation...I want (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: TD custom registry

X-posted to .town (...) Hi, Track Designer is well known and still a very popular software to design layouts, mainly amongst LEGO train fans. The growing interest in the french AFOL community led us to translate in french the help documentation (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) Yes, but I'm also talking about angles from below, not above. It is almost universal that AFOLs photograph their MOCs from above, which is okay, but if one is trying to convey elements of realism, then there should be pics from a minifig (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) Thanks, John. I have put a couple of angle shots in the folder here: (URL) You're right, the angles give it a better presentation. For this building, I don't think I'd be able to get any pictures in natural light. It is in the middle of my (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: several new things

(...) This small air-speeder is HOT! It's a wonderfull MOC, full of character. I love it! I've been playing with this set when I bought it, I think it's one of the best parts selection I've ever had. JP. (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: CABR buildings and your opinions

(...) I really must thank Brian Williams of The Royal Train for the angled road idea. Angling the road afforded me the room for added depth and interest while challenging my mind at the same time. So far it has worked and kept me extremely (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: CABR buildings and your opinions

(...) Well I wish you luck on the river / urban canal project. There are really 2 things that make it a success. 2x2 round bricks and the snot road. The snot road let me point 2x6 bricks pointed down to tie the bridge into the understructure of the (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

  several new things

First, my favorite MOC of this group, an airspeeder from set 4883 Gear Grinders (click thumbnails for larger pic): (2 URLs) folder when moderated> a claw-winged micro ship from set 4098 High Fliers: (URL) a micro ship like the Stargate death-gliders (...)   Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) Nicely done, Jonathan. Impressive as it is from the front, I would like to see some pics from an angle in order to better appreciate your texturing of the facade. And how about some pics in natural lighting? It does wonders to improve the (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

Hello, This is my 2nd town contest entry: The Carriage House. (URL) Based on a bar/restaraunt on 18th street between 6th and 7th in NYC. There are a row of 3 or 4 of these type of buildings, in different colors, on that block. I'd love the parts to (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests)

  Condemned House

Here's the latest in my shanty town project, a condemned house for all the homeless minifigs: (3 URLs) Like the other structures, this building is made entirely of discarded, broken, melted, stained, bent bricks. Everyone who I've talked to on the (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) [...] (...) creativity. I've never seen a whale (not a fish, I think?) skeleton made from LEGO but you did it very well. I also liked the sand castle a lot. It's not too often that you see such an original idea made in LEGO. (19 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Small town building reference

(...) Awesome! Another great link! Thank you very much for sharing! On a side note, I grew up in Pittsburgh, and walked through those streets; even went to a few of the businesses mentioned on this site when I moved back there for a short time after (...)
