I think the only difference between Bionicle and the other mentioned
"subthemes" (robo riders, throwbots) is that LEGO is really trying to
market it (Bionicle) with a nice story line and a decent, high tech (some
would say flashy; others would say slow) website.
Is it worth it??? I doubt it...personally, none of the 2001 sets are worth
it, except maybe the Alpha Team, and there is no base for the hard working
guys to station themselves at... :-(
