I agree with both of you.  I do think it's disturbing.

I'd just like to raise some points to clarify some things.

1.  If a computer virus is programmed not to like being killed, it won't
like being killed.  Now, this may not be true, today, but it is feasable
that things like this will be true in the near future.  Simple organisms
like ameobas, even, show about as much emotion as a computer program or one
of these robotic beings that are supposedly walking around the Lego world.
They may really not have a nervous system sophisticated enough to be capable
of  anything but functioning.

2.  I didn't like throwbots, etc., I thought they were a bit too cheesy.  A
little too X-game-ish.  Once again, TLC is light years behind other
companies in terms of concept design.

3.  The medieval sets were less visably "violent" because they didn't
SUGGEST which side was good or evil.  They left that up to the imagination
of the player, using whatever stereotypical cues that exist within a
society.  When TLC takes it upon itself to determine PLOT, then it means
they have a bad product.  They can find no other means by which to hook
possible consumers.

I can tell you when I started loosing interest in Lego.  It's when they
started trying to create labels, icons, stories, and plot - the flashy,
kitschy stuff you paste on the outside of your product once the rest of it's
already been made. They've gone too deep in over their heads.  Another
company creating another product might be able to pull this off.  But, I
don't think this works well for Lego.  Legos FUNCTION differently than other
toys.  The kitschy stuff are a distraction to Legos, when in fact they very
well might be an Enhancement to other products/toys.  Why? Because other
toys suck!

(...) This may stir up a firestorm (not my intent), but why is violence in a storyline so bad? Violence is a regrettably necessary part of life.
