What parts are best for making a 4 (or more) wheel drive car with
steering on 2 or more wheels? I also want suspension on all
wheels...

Out of the sets available right now, I would say that the 8466 is
pretty much your only choice.

What about the Super Car set #8880?
There are front wheel drive on that car also?

You could also try to compose a chassis with all these features out of
"normal" parts, i.e., with no specialized steering/suspension
elements.  But I think that you will find that this is difficult, and
that what you come up with may not be as rigid and playable as the
8466 setup.

Well, here are my attempt on making a steering.

One is without drive, it just has independable suspension (Steering1). The
other one (Steering2) has both drive and suspension.
No special parts are used...
But the problem is both types are verry wide.

The parts on the 8466 set looks good. But are they easy to use with
medium size tires? Does they fit all types of tires or does the
tires need to have the "triangular" holes?`

I think that the 8466 setup will work with most wheels which have six
technic pin holes around the central axle hole.  But the wheels will
need to have some minimum size, or else the suspension elements will
not be elevated far enough above the ground!

(...) Tes, but the 8880 is hardly available right now. If you use the setup from 8880, you're stuck with using one kind of wheels exclusively. The suspension arms also take up more space than with the 8466 solution. Fredrik (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)
