Ditto this side of the Atlantic.  When I contacted SAH (US) to inquire, I
was told the US price would be around $120-130.  My immediate reply when
told was "WOW!  That's cheaper than the Silver Champion I paid $170 for!"

Who knows?  Maybe it's something they learned when they did that big price
cut earlier with the 8466.  Cut the price and more people will buy it.

Well, for the folks in Australia, it's listed on the S@H website for our
country as "Available Now", although at $220 + $80 s&h it might be a pretty
expensive buy, even though it has a lot of pieces for that amount of $$$!!
:-)

X-posted to .loc.au so Australians can rejoice too!!  [And plan more credit
card purchases!!  :-)]

All good and well, but if the parents wont allow purchases on S@H, then
what? (Serious question.)

Does anyone have any clues, ideas, ANYTHING??? About when it's coming out in
australian stores??? I am DYING to get my hands on one- I am so glad I
didn't buy the Silver Champion...
As for a pic, go to www.brickset.com and search for "8461". It's a really
good pic that I put on my desktop.

:-D

(...) Wait till you grow up :-) More seriously, where are you in Australia, Matt? It's not clear if this set will or won't be in stores here in Australia.
