I spoke with at SAH rep Monday to ask if they were taking orders (called a month prior and they said call late August) for the 8461 F1 racer. Well, word is wait till October. Quote: "We are not taking orders until the set appears in the holiday(?) (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Hey, you should feel lucky. At least they acknowledged it will exist. I placed an order with SAH on Friday and asked about the 8461, that rep told me there is no such set. :) It does seems kind of strange that they are not taking any pre-orders for (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Does anyone else find it strange that the piece count for the Williams racer is listed as 1483, whereas the Silver Champion is listed as having 1413 pieces? I checked my box of the Silver Champ, and it does not list the number of parts. Could the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Ditto this side of the Atlantic. When I contacted SAH (US) to inquire, I was told the US price would be around $120-130. My immediate reply when told was "WOW! That's cheaper than the Silver Champion I paid $170 for!" Who knows? Maybe it's (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
