| In my mind it is easy to see where lego went wrong on terms of technic. A change in the technic line may have been needed to evolve a little after 1997 but they went the wrong direction. Instead of modles becoming more complex, larger, better (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) While it might have been fun for US (as AFOL's), for the target market (8-16 y/o) it would have made things worse. Kids can't spend $200-300 per set. Also most shops can't / won't stock such expensive sets. Perhaps in the USA it would have (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
