So I'm not the only one.... that's a bit of a relief.
My two cents on the choice of five sets?
I couldn't care less!
Why are they all minifig sets again? My choices for legends:
Constellation, what can I say? But it has to be with the original yellow
1x1x1 windows.....
Black Cat, without a doubt one of the best sets ever.
Technic: 8848, an early highlight. Great combination of looks, functions and
playability. But it would never sell big nowadays. 8868 simply has
everything: motor, pneumatics, looks, playability.... And of course the
Space shuttle.
As for trains, well, they've had the metroliner, but I guess a 9V 7740 would
make a lot of people happy...
and if you are pushing me for a minifig set: 540, 'cause in my memory that
was the first with the modern minifig.
Allthough I must admit that if the Galaxy Explorer (928) was ever rereleased
I'd buy it....

| Excellent stuff Jake, I shall be voting but... I do have one small cavil and I really hate to do it after you have put in so much work but there has still been no Technic Legend. Is this because Technic sets are so large that it is feared they would (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)
