Re: Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

Finally, a decent Technic discussion! (...) I'm not sure if it will be easy to get 2.5" of ground clearance given the wheels you will be using. One thing I forgot to mention is that this will be powered by 4 gear motors on the back wheels and 2 to steer. The steering wheels will be powered by an RCX and monitored with a rotation sensor. With enough shock absorbers, it would definitely support a model the size of a big super car. TJ (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

(...) Yep. I only wish that Lego made a tire that looks like the old 24x43's but is much larger in diameter. What I would like to see is a tire the same diameter as the power puller's, but "squared off" (like the silver champion's) and with deeper (...) After Looking at it a second time I think that suspension will really work great. It is a little hard to see exactly how it is built from the pictures. Do you have a DAT you could post or e-mail me? -- Michael Camilleri "Thomas (T. J.) Avery" (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
