My personal favorites would be 1989 and 1995 because these were the years
where two major "flagship" sets were released within the same year. (1981
was probably another year, but I was not around then)
1989 had the 8854 Power Crane and the 8862 Backhoe Grader, both of which
were relatively large. (the 8854 was actually pretty big when fully extended)
1995 had two clearly large models: the 8460 Pneumatic Crane Truck, followed
by the 8485 Control Center II later that year.
