(...) 8880-setup. Very cleverly done. Can I ask a question about the hole in the yellow thing with the four ball joints? Is the diameter of the hole the same as the ordinary technic axles? I.e., can you put a technic axle through it in the usual (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) agreed! (...) As they stand, slim chance of a cross-axle going through in the normal way, as the yellow & black parts are pre-assembled (I'll let someone else try separating them first...!!), and there's a bulkhead/lip inside the black piece (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) how did I miss that?! Yep, I've tried it now; I attached 8462 wheels to them, and it works a treat - 2 pulleys makes sure there's no play. The problem is that, even with the wheels fitted as inboard as possible, flipped so that the track is (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)
